Ingredients:

Crust:

2 Cups Flour
½ Tsp. Salt
¾ Cup Shortening
2 Egg Yolks
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
7 Tbsp. Cold Water


Filling:

8 Medium Pie Apples
1 Cup Sugar
¼ Tsp. Salt
¾ Cup Golden Raisins
1 Tbsp. Flour
½ Tsp. Cinnamon
½ Tsp. Nutmeg


Frosting:

½ Cup Butter
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 lb. Powdered Sugar
Milk


1. Prepare dough as for pie crust. Roll half of the dough 1/8” thick and fit into a 7x12 shallow pan.

2. For the filling, slice the apples thinly. Combine all the ingredients and coat the apples well. Put filling onto the crust. Top with the remaining crust. Make slits in top crust and back for hour at 350.

3. For the frosting, mix together al ingredients and mix until smooth. Spread the frosting over the cooling pie.
